Data We Collect

Contact Your MP Tool: When you use our Contact Your MP tool, we collect your full name, email address, and home address (including postcode). We also collect the name and email of the MP you look up, and the letter content you send. This data is used to send a letter to your MP on your behalf via email. We use a double opt-in verification process to ensure your consent. Our legal basis for processing this data is your consent as indicated by the GDPR checkbox in the form.

Contact Us Form: When you submit our contact form, we collect your full name, email address, subject, and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiries. Our legal basis is your consent.

Newsletter: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send you campaign updates, news, and alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at contact@sikhactivismsilenced.com. Our legal basis is your consent.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our website and tools:

  • Resend: Email delivery service that processes emails on our behalf.
  • EasyPostcodes: UK address lookup service. When you enter your postcode, it is sent to EasyPostcodes to retrieve address suggestions. EasyPostcodes does not store your personal data.
  • Cloudflare: Our infrastructure provider, hosting our website, Workers, and D1 database.
  • Parliament Members API: Operated by UK Parliament. Your postcode is sent to this API to look up your MP.

How We Store Your Data

Letter data, contact form submissions, and newsletter subscriptions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Verification tokens for the double opt-in process are stored temporarily in Cloudflare KV and are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
